Incumbent serves as 3rd Shift Housekeeper for Sunny Meadows, responsible for taking care of residents and ensuring quality care and safety.

DUTIES: Assists Head Cook with preparing breakfast and washing dishes. Cleans and sanitizes tables and kitchen counters. Sweeps and mops dining room and kitchen floors. Washes windows. Cleans bathrooms, including cleaning and disinfecting showers and mopping floors. Administers medications when residents wake up. Gathers laundry and cleans as many loads as possible. Helps residents get ready for the day. Performs related duties as assigned.

Cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas; doing house and residents laundry including marking, sorting, folding, hanging, distributing; assisting cook with meals; making sure residents are showered/groomed/wear clean clothing; transporting residents on field trips; doing activities with residents; distributing medications; stocking supplies; snow/ice removal; window/walls washing as needed; communicate with management/office staff and necessary documentation. We are looking for a strong background in housekeeping, medical or health-related field but are more interested in the candidates work experience as it relates to the duties of this position. A high school diploma/GED and valid drivers license are required but Chauffeurs Operator License and CPR/First Aid certification would be bonuses. Hourly wage is based upon years of experience and budget - starting at $16.00/hour. Normal working hours are Thursday 10:30 pm to Friday 7 am and Friday 10:30 pm to Saturday 7 am (set schedule - weekends only) with a half-hour unpaid lunch.

RESPONSIBILITY: Incumbent performs standard, recurring duties with priorities determined by supervisor. Assignments are guided by broad policies and/or general objectives. Incumbent establishes procedures and performance standards and interprets policies and refers to supervisor when interpretations of polices are thought necessary. Incumbent reports directly to Director.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Incumbent performs duties in a residential home, including working with or near chemicals, fumes, dust, dirt, and/or odors. Incumbent may be exposed to potentially irate/hostile individuals. Incumbent regularly works weekends and evenings.
