THE POSITION

Sr Sales Analyst, Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI:

Use technical background to prepare Annual Price Increases and quotes to customers for automotive service parts. Develop strategic plans to address profitability targets. Maintain customer relationship to primary customer locations. Maintain Sales Portfolio Status Report for automotive components, including modules, sensors, transmitters, instrumentation, and controllers. Prepare customer profitability studies. Provide technical support in the form of service parts forecast to manufacturing plant locations and work with Purchasing to identify supplier strategy. Perform business reviews with Continental manufacturing locations.

 

Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week.

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 50% per week.  

 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related field, plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive, related work experience.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Sales experience in the automotive parts manufacturing industry;
  • Automotive product life cycle processes;
  • Working with sales and automotive associates to ensure commercial aspects of the business are considered during the POM (phase out meeting) process;
  • Analyzing technical aspects of the POM process, including inventories check, production means verification, production line adaptations, customer price negotiations, volume forecasts, material availability, obsolescence and technical restrictions related to the supply chain; and
  • Delivering technical presentations on mechanical and electrical parts of an automotive product portfolio, including exposure to the following product families: brake parts, instrument clusters and electronic modules.

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • A sales role dealing with low volume service parts; and
  • Using SAP database, including ERP and price transaction screens.

     

Must have 2 years of experience project managing sales projects in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.
