Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Description

We are on the lookout for a diligent Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Rochester Hills, Michigan. In this role, you will be a key player in managing financial aspects of our key business unit, including balance sheet and income statement management. You will also be tasked with consolidating, analyzing, and reporting for our globally spread business unit. This role will provide you with exposure to all levels of management including Operational Managers, Plant Controllers, and Corporate Finance Executives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide early warnings on business trends affecting the unit's performance, identifying probable causes and solutions

• Oversee, manage, and consolidate all financial reporting and accounting functions for the unit

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, forecasting, quoting, and management of working capital and fixed assets

• Perform monthly financial closing, including the posting of journal entries in SAP and reconciliation of accounts

• Prepare and submit monthly earnings call package and quarterly balance sheet review package

• Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to ensure collection of R& D reimbursements and Prototype income

• Develop the budget with a focus on SA& O and R& D functions

• Participate in fixed assets control and inventory

• Complete special assignments as required, such as updating OneStream reports and creating ad-hoc reports upon request from various functional managers.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years' experience in a similar role such as Financial Analyst or related field.

• Proficient knowledge of CapEx, CRM, Data Mining Techniques, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and About Time.

• Advanced understanding of Accounting Functions, Budget Processes, Expense Reporting, and Finance.

• Proven track record in handling large data sets and delivering financial models.

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other financial planning software.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to justify decisions to top management.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.

• Relevant certification such as CFA or CPA will be a plus.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
