*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Liaison between production and engineering departments.
  • Run day to day shop activities by leading, directing, and training employees.
  • Work with management in all departments in order to schedule, prioritize, organize floor space, and control production activities (minimize rework).
  • Manage and organize work groups and support and implement lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Participate in new order kick-off meetings to review orders for content, manufacturing hours and project scheduling.
  • Monitor external vendors soliciting of proposals, selecting proper vendors, quality and cost.
  • Work with HR to interview and hire qualified personnel.
  • Establish measurable objectives yearly for all delegates in coordination with Company performance management system.
  • Track employee vacation and personal day logs and track daily log times in ADP E-Time.
  • Counsel employees in job performance and development. Make recommendations for terminations.
  • Manage install schedules with the integration teams.
  • Ensure material flow through production in support of the production plans to satisfy business goals and customer demands.
  • Identify needed labor and ensure that necessary effort is applied in production bottleneck areas to ensure correct flow of material to meet the production schedule.
  • Responsible for reporting to and informing management of ideas for improving processes including project time change impacts.
  • Assist employees with blueprint reading, identifying materials, and quality of production.
  • Recognize and correct any unsafe, unethical, or illegal practices.
  • Work with the HR Manager and the safety committee to ensure and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Utilizing hand and power tools.
  • Administering employee timesheets and managing attendance.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities of the Production Staff, Independent Contractors, and Temporary Workers.
