Robert Half Paralegal in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Description

We are seeking a paralegal with Labor and Employment experience for a growing corporation. This position can sit mostly remote.

In this role, you will be a key member of our Labor and Employment Law team, supporting attorneys in matters related to workplace regulations. Your responsibilities will likely include:

  • Compliance Audits and Investigations: Assist with conducting internal audits and investigations to ensure compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws, discrimination laws, FMLA, etc.).

  • Policy Development and Training: Help draft, review, and update company policies and procedures related to labor and employment matters. You may also assist in developing and delivering training programs for employees on these policies.

  • Compliance Reporting: Prepare reports summarizing compliance findings and recommendations for improvement.

  • Casework Support: Assist attorneys with litigation matters arising from potential or alleged workplace violations by researching relevant laws, drafting legal documents (e.g., responses to government inquiries), and preparing for hearings.

  • Staying Current: Proactively research and maintain awareness of changes in Labor and Employment Law to ensure the firm's compliance guidance remains up-to-date.

    Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Paralegal

• Proficient in Labor Law and Employment Law

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Proficient in using legal research software

• Familiarity with legal documentation and terminology

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
