Description
Our trusted client is seeking a Controller Consultant for a long-term engagement. The Controller Consultant will be instrumental in building processes and consulting with the business owner. This position is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
The day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Support the business owner by providing strategic financial consultation.
• Manage the accrual method of accounting for inventory purchases, including markdown, coop, and defective allowances.
• Create and implement efficient processes to enhance financial operations.
• Ensure accurate management reporting to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM for financial management and reporting.
• Manage budget processes, annual forecasts, and cash flow forecasts.
• Play a key role in the importing wholes and distributing industry.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
• Significant experience in controlling, with a minimum of 7 years in a similar role
• Proven expertise in overseeing all accounting functions
• Demonstrable skills in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Solid experience in budget processes, including preparation, review, and implementation
• Ability to create and manage annual forecasts to guide business decision-making
• Proficiency in developing and managing cash flow forecasts to ensure financial stability
• Extensive experience in using Microsoft Dynamics CRM for finance and customer management.
