We are ResponsiveWe have IntegrityWe are DynamicWe exhibit Excellence PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to and support AM Generals MOS and BOS Work closely with suppliers to introduce and manage new technology introductions and development projects Work with requiring activity to ensure clear identification of production requirements Provide responses to bids, proposals, and contract negotiations Prepares requests for proposals for distribution to suppliers Analyzes all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions to ensure compliance with all laws Ensures that contracts are executed in accordance with corporate guidelines Analyzes a contracts risk to the business Monitors the performance of each signed contract Ensures that business goals are accomplished by contract implementation Negotiate cost with potential suppliers Compare competitive quotes for best value Draft complete file documentation to ensure determination of fair and reasonable pricing Draft and issue contracts and purchase orders Enter and maintain all information in SAP Collaborate with requisitioners & accounting for account updates /accuracy/issues Work with Accounts Payable for any invoice or PO issues KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS BA/BS degree in a related field (Supply Management, Business, or Contract Management) preferred 2 years experience as a Buyer/purchasing preferred Strong computer and communication skills required (Word, Excel, Project) Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities Self-motivated, takes initiative Excellent verbal and written communication skills Meets tight deadlines and endures high pressure or stressful situations Ability to be flexible and adapt to change Teamwork skills required Analytical thinking, negotiating, and problem-solving skills required Meets tight deadlines and endures high pressure or stressful situations Participates in meetings with suppliers and company management during contract negotiations SAP experience required PHYSICAL EFFORT Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate Hand-Eye Coordination: must be able to regularly coordinate ones eyes with ones fingers, wrists, or arms to move, carry, or manipulate objects or to perform other job-related tasks Manual Dexterity: must be able to regularly make quick, accurate, skillful, and coordinated movement with hands and arms to grasp, place, move, or use objects such as phone, computer, and other office equipment, tools, or controls Agility: must be able to regularly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, or legs to perform job tasks, including the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, Companys property surrounding facility, or additional work areas Climbing / Kneeling: must be able to occasionally climb, kneel, bend over, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, with balance Lifting: must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds with or without assistance Physical Strength: must b
