Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

Job Summary: The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured in the stamping facility meet the established quality standards. This role involves inspecting materials, processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and identifying any defects or deviations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.

• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions and tolerances.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to understand product requirements.

• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into quality databases.

• Identify and report any non-conformities or defects to the production team and Quality Manager.

• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.

• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues.

• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and in good working condition.

• Collaborate with production staff to ensure quality standards are consistently met.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably in stamping.

• Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.

• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and tools.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with quality management software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production and machine operation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
