We are looking for a FCC Relief Operator to join our Catalyst team in Attapulgus, GA.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.

The FCC Relief Operator serves to provide relief for various job assignments withing a four-job classification.

During your rotating 8-hour shift as a FCC Relief Operator, you will

• Be required to perform up to one or more job assignments within the following job classifications.

• FCC 1-3 Outside Operator

• Calciners Outside Operator

• Beach House Operator

• FCC 4 Outside Operator

• Makeup Area

• Whenever there is vacation slot or opening due to leave, the Team will adjust to absorb, thus allowing the Relief Operator to backfill the position on the team for which he/she is trained. This approach requires that every position within the classification be performed by at least two of the regular shift team members and that only one of those be on vacation at any given time.

• Report and receive work instructions from the Production Team Leader while working on a shift.

• Report and receive work instructions from Area Superintendent when not following a shift.

• Perform any duties as required by assigned Production Team Leader or member of Management.

• Routinely participate in area housekeeping audits with Production Team Leaders and Management.

• Follow direction from Area Specialist’s notes and interact with Area Specialist and Engineer as needed.

• Understand, monitor and operate within process safety operational guidelines and report process safety incidents. Complete process safety training as required by company.

If you...

• Hold a HS Diploma

• Have a valid driver's license

• Ability tounderstandand carry out oral and written instructions

• Possess basic computer skill knowledge

• Read, write and perform accurate arithmetic calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

• Physicallyable to lift fifty (50) pounds, walk / work on uneven surfaces, climb and work in high or elevated area (i.e., climbing and descending stairs repetitively during a shift).

• Using normally available resources such as Process Orders, Procedures and notes, be able to address the above items.

• Must be able to properly wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Job requires participation on emergency response teams, which include requirements to be clean shaven.

• Ability to safely operate, maintain, perform minor repairs and make proper adjustments on associated equipment in work areas.

• Ability tounderstandand respond to environmental and personnel hazards promptly.

The pay rate for this role is $27.63per the Union's collective bargaining agreement.
