Position Overview

The Workday Product Lead manages and enhances our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system, focusing specifically on the security, talent, and performance modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the implementation, optimization, and governance of Workday Security settings, as well as leading initiatives related to talent management, performance reviews, and employee development processes within Workday.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions

Workday Security Management:

  • Oversee and manage the configuration, maintenance, and security of the Workday HCM system, including user roles, permissions, and access controls.

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and Security teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security requirements.

  • Lead audits of security settings and manage access review processes for all users.

Talent Management:

  • Lead the configuration and continuous improvement of Workday’s Talent Management features, including goal setting, talent reviews, career development, and succession planning.

  • Work closely with HR stakeholders to ensure the system supports talent acquisition, career pathing, and employee retention strategies.

  • Design and implement talent management workflows to align with business needs.

Performance Management:

  • Manage and optimize the Workday Performance Management module, including performance reviews, feedback cycles, and performance calibration processes.

  • Work with HR leadership to develop and implement performance management strategies that align with organizational goals and culture.

  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and reporting to measure employee performance and business outcomes.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Leadership:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Workday-related matters in the Security, Talent, and Performance areas.

  • Partner with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to identify requirements, configure the system, and deploy new features and capabilities.

  • Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR teams and other users on the Workday system.

System Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor and analyze Workday functionality and features for opportunities to improve and streamline processes.

  • Lead change management and user training efforts to ensure successful adoption of new features and capabilities.

  • Stay current with Workday updates, new releases, and best practices to drive system enhancements.

Project Management & Reporting:

  • Lead or participate in the planning, execution, and delivery of Workday-related projects on time and within scope.

  • Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and key milestones.

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Preferred Education: Workday Certification

  • Minimum Experience: 5+ years of experience with Workday HCM, including configuration and administration of Security, Talent, and Performance modules

  • Preferred Experience: Experience in Healthcare preferred

Special Skills:

Strong understanding of Workday Security protocols and role-based access controls.

Proven expertise in configuring and optimizing Talent Management and Performance Management processes within Workday.

Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English

Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of 10 pounds

Prolonged walking, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting

Must be able to sit and climb stairs

Must have visual and hearing acuity
