Warehouse Supervisor - Smyrna, GA
The opportunity:
Manage personnel performing shipping, receiving, inventory, and parts kitting functions. Includes shipping domestic and international spare parts orders, receiving and processing purchased parts deliveries, performing physical inventory controls while maintaining the ERP system, and kitting inventory and purchased parts into work orders for machine assembly crews.
Manage machine shipments for both domestic and international destinations, for all beverage packaging platforms and associated peripheral equipment, to include developing shipping estimates, managing machine crating and loading activities, scheduling truck and ocean transport, and compiling all international customs documentation.
How you will impact WestRock:
Manage Parts Shipping and Kitting personnel.
Fulfill shipping for spare part orders, including small package and freight shipments.
Kit inventory and procured parts for machine assembly work orders
Manage Parts Receiving personnel.
Receive and organize parts from vendors for inventory, spare orders, and assembly kitting
Manage Parts Inventory personnel.
Maintains the physical inventory and ensure inventory accuracy
Maintains the ERP inventory system
Manage domestic and international machine shipping.
Coordinate machine shipping projects with Manufacturing
Responsibilities:
Lead Safety efforts to ensure all team members work safely and are focused on risk assessment to prevent near misses, PLCE, and injuries.
Manage the Spare parts order fulfilment processes.
Ensure shipping process are running smoothly and effectively
Collaborate with purchasing, service, and other team members to optimize deliveries
Manage machine shipment projects for both domestic and international transits.
Develop and coordinate shipping schedules for timely, efficient, and cost-effective transits
Document all shipment processes to ensure compliance with relevant corporate standards
Develop and document standard processes for machine shipments with goal of training additional team members in machine shipments
Assist other Westrock businesses in international shipment by being subject matter expert
Direct receiving of incoming parts.
Minimize part dwell in receiving
Ensure proper organization and staging of parts for efficient inventory or kitting activities
Lead kitting team.
Ensure 100% on time kitting
Communicate with production managers to provide accurate kit readiness information to ensure machine build schedules can be managed properly
Manage inventory team.
Improve inventory accuracy and meet corporate inventory standards
Oversee periodic cycle counts to provide accurate inventory levels
Collaborate with procurement to achieve inventory levels for adequate parts availability
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor\u2019s degree in a technical field or supply chain
5-7-year experience in Supply Chain, shipping, receiving, or inventory management
Strong computer skills; including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft 365)
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication
Willingness to call outside the organization with sense of urgency and assertiveness
Demonstrated team management experience
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate the broader scope when require
