The Job:

As the VP, Business Operations & Strategy, you will work directly with the CISO and serve as a strategic partner and advisor for the Global Information & Content Security (GICS) organization. You will be responsible for the business operations, communication strategy, and culture and engagement efforts for GICS, ensuring consistency with the organization's vision and goals. You will also lead cross-functional change moments and initiatives, organize and facilitate executive-level meetings and presentations, and represent GICS in various internal and external forums. You will be a key leader in promoting excellence, innovation, and cooperation across the organization and beyond.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: (30%)

  • Collaborate with CISO and other senior leaders to develop and refined the cybersecurity strategy, goals and objectives

  • Identify emerging threats, trends and technologies to anticipate future cybersecurity challenges and opportunities

  • Drive the developing and execution of strategic initiatives to enhance the organizations’ cybersecurity posture.

Business Operations: (30%)

  • Collaborate with business operations teams to integrate cybersecurity practices into overall business processes and workflows.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness through the implementation of cybersecurity controls and technologies

  • Ensure alignment between cyber security objectives and broader business objectives, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance.

  • Optimize Business processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity within GICS.

  • Conduct regular reviews and analysis of operational metrics to measure performance and identify areas for optimization.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful deliveries.

Communication and Collaboration: (20%)

  • Develop overarching communication strategy for the org, set regular Town Hall cadence, etc.

  • Facilitate open and transparent communication across all levels of the organization, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

  • Strategically align communication efforts amongst GICS leadership team to ensure messages are clear, concise, and timely.

  • Serve as a liaison between the Technology Divisions and other departments within WBD, fostering effective communication channels.

  • Prepare and present reports, updates, and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.

  • Coordinate and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) with key customers/teams.

  • Develop PowerPoint and Excel material that drive strategic GICS initiatives and communications to senior executive leadership.

Culture, Engagement and Talent Development: (20%)

  • Lead Culture & Engagement efforts, responsible for sustaining and evolving GICS’ culture to maintain a positive, inclusive environment that attracts and retains top-tier talent.

  • Develop and implement programs to nurture and advance the skills and career growth of team members.

  • Implement consistent recruitment and onboarding efforts via the pre-established Equitable Talent Lifecycle.

  • Drive recruiting and staffing initiatives to ensure GICS has the talent to support our cybersecurity mission.

  • Oversee the creation of cultural events that promote learning, development and relationship building amongst GICS staff.

QUALIFICIATIONS:

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Hybrid work environment. Must be based in the WBD’s office ( Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC; or Silver Spring, MD ), minimum three days/week.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or proven professional experience, hold industry relevant certifications.

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the information security field

  • Strong project management skills with a record of accomplishment of successfully delivering complex, high-impact projects.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience and broad knowledge of various IT security domains and risk frameworks.

  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity; demonstrate strong writing, problem solving and creative thinking skills, and ability to work effectively with conceptual structures, outlines, and models.

  • Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, including the ability to motivate teams, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with tact, and execute with limited information and ambiguity.

  • Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks required to support change.

  • Must have solid experience in developing presentations (PowerPoint), solid expertise in excel, and communication skills.

  • Streamline and optimize operational processes across GICS, ensuring efficient resource allocation, prioritization of work, and continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and implement best practices to support sustainable growth.

  • Partner with the Program Management office leadership to ensure timely CISO visibility into critical project blockers.

  • Act as liaison between the CISO's office and senior management, promoting alignment and driving successful execution of enterprise-wide initiatives.
