Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Retail Operations Leader to lead a team of 5-10 Field Managers, overseeing 100+ Project Supervisors and 1,000+ skilled hourly associates across the United States. This retail operations division supports new store sets, partial and full store remodels, complex team resets, store mapping, and technology deliverables. This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency, productivity, and satisfaction of our nationwide field workforce. The ideal candidate will bring a strong hands-on leadership style, retail operational expertise, and problem-solving skills to drive execution excellence across all clients.

Essential Duties

  • Lead and manage a national retail team of 100+ in-field operations managers and 1,000+ hourly associates, ensuring high levels of engagement, performance, and accountability.

  • Establish ongoing training initiatives for all field operations team members to ensure the Strategic Services team is equipped and empowered to deliver against client expectations

  • Meet and exceed department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by actively monitoring productivity reports, as well as create and implement solutions for identified opportunities

  • Enthusiastically travel to job worksites on a regular basis to engage with field personnel aimed at fostering a positive and productive work environment

  • Participate in new and existing weekly client meetings, video calls, and onsite training

  • Lead weekly internal team meetings to provide clear, consistent, and concise communication and direction across all team members

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations

  • Liaise with the executive team on operational activities and setting strategic goals

  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability

  • Maintain a working knowledge of relevant Human Resources and Leave protocols and ensure all department managers follow compony protocols

  • Foster a fast-paced, problem-solving culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and innovation.

  • Follow and implement company policies and procedures across all department team members including but not limited to payroll, PTO, travel, and disciplinary actions

  • Handle employee relations matters in a professional manner while partnering with Human Resource and Leave Departments

  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new programs, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, and acquiring talent

  • Ensure the Company runs with the legality and conformity to established regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Delegate responsibilities to subordinates and provide guidance and direction

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Business, Retail Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of experience in operations or field team management, preferably in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

  • Proven leadership experience in managing a national retail team, with a strong ability to motivate, mentor, and drive performance.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data-driven insights to optimize operations and productivity.

  • Experience working with retail technology, workforce management systems, and operational analytics tools is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, results-oriented environment.

  • 30-50% travel to store work sites actively working alongside field personnel.
