Senior Technical Sales Engineer - Electrical | Atlanta, GA

Direct hire | Full-time | Hybrid

Kelly Engineering is seeking a Senior Technical Sales Engineer to join our client’s team which is a global leader in electrical distribution systems in data centers, construction, healthcare, automotive, oil & gas, and automotive industries.

Role and responsibilities

  • Establish a network and make regular visits to general contractors, electrical contractors, and others as key parts of the customer portfolio.

  • Develop new relationships with and make visits to potential customers in the investor company customer portfolio, especially in the high-rise, data center, oil & gas, renewable energy, manufacturing, and automotive industries.

  • Make sales visits to general contractors, electrical installers, and investors to finalize sales contracts, provide clarifications, and arrange for services required by the customers.

  • Follow up on project needs of current customers from the quotation stage to delivery stage and maintain good relations with them.

  • Provide technical information and services required by the customers.

  • Provide customers with services including preliminary measurements, shop drawings, technical clarifications, and supervision services, by aligning project engineering team.

  • Establish a high level of customer satisfaction through timely response to customer inquiries, with clear and effective communications, and a professional presence.

  • Follow up on payments and delivery of goods between the customer and the company factories

  • Collaborate and communicate with all the company stakeholders, especially developing friendly relations within the company.

  • Review market activities to develop new businesses by following up on new investments and understanding customer needs and making proper classification and evaluation of the customers in related industries.

  • Participate in the new market development activities of the headquarters by assisting their market and marketing research efforts when necessary.

  • Participate in sales conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and factory visits

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering

  • 7-10 years of experience in Electrical Distribution industry

  • 4-6 years of sales experience in electrical panels and/or transformers

  • Computer and software experience with AutoCAD and MS Office programs.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly growing, managing multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment

Travel

Approximately 40-50% for customer visits, trade shows, and training sessions (some travel is international)
