Insight Global Technical Product Owner in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Description

The Technical Product Owner (TPO) serves as a nexus between our customers and the design and development teams within IT. The TPO plays a critical role in guiding product vision, ensuring that the software products and solutions developed are in alignment with customer needs and are of high quality. The TPO will lead the effort to deliver user-friendly, regularly updated products that meet the strategic goals of the organization while leveraging technology to enhance the overall user experience. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage priorities within a dynamic environment.

* Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including research faculty, staff, and students, to gather and prioritize product requirements and customer needs.

* Define and articulate product vision and roadmap in line with organizational strategies and customer feedback.

* Oversee and participate in the development lifecycle of the product, from conception to deployment, including requirement analysis, sprint planning, and acceptance testing.

* Serve as the main point of contact between the technical development team and the customers, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding.

* Facilitate agile product development processes and practices, such as daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

* Maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories and product enhancements, ensuring clarity on requirements and acceptance criteria.

* Assess product performance by establishing relevant metrics, monitoring feedback, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

* Negotiate with various stakeholders to reach consensus on product features and delivery timelines.

* Cultivate strong customer relationships by providing consistent updates and ensuring that products meet expectations in usability and functionality.

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or commensurately extensive experience in product ownership, software development, user experience research and design, or a similar technical role.

* Expertise in product management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, with a proven track record of delivering customer-focused solutions.

* Strong understanding of modern software development practices and technologies.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

* Proficiency in backlog management tools and knowledge of project management software. null
