Technical Product Director, Atleos as a Service

Job Description

As the leader of our Atleos as a Service team , you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology and business organizations as we look to redefine our service offerings, transform our customer engagement model and establish agile product delivery practices to rapidly deliver new products. In this role, you’ll lead a team of technical product owners and business analysts, to ensure seamless collaboration and effective delivery of technology solutions. You’ll also work closely with designers, software engineers, project stakeholders, executives, and end-users to create our next generation platform and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Vision and Strategy:

  • Define the overall vision for the team, and the products they manage.

  • Assist the business in creating product roadmaps that are aligned with our ATMaas strategy. Roadmaps will include all stages of the lifecycle including customer experience, onboarding, contract management, billing, renewals and more.

  • Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand their needs and translate them into clear product requirements, and prioritize how they are delivered by technical teams.

Technical Product Ownership:

  • Develop a culture of ownership where business analysts and product owners in the team have clear responsibilities and understand their role in the success of our company and its strategy.

  • Oversee and establish processes for all stages of product creation, including design and development.

  • Ensure proper processes are in place to manage product backlogs, prioritize features and make adjustments based on changing requirements.

  • Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process with clear mechanisms to measure success and techniques for adjusting teams and process to ensure expected delivery outcomes.

Agile Delivery:

  • Establish an agile delivery mindset and process within the team.

  • Work with engineering leads to establish a successful “design and engineering” culture.

  • Participate in agile cadences with team members to ensure standups, planning sessions, etc are effective at driving to outcomes, removing blockers and delivering on our commitments to the business.

  • Establish a strong rapport with software engineering teams and leads to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Develop an agile design culture that focuses on optimizing the user experience but also creates a streamlined process between design and engineering that ensures rapid delivery and speed-to-market.

  • Constantly work to break down complex and non-agile practices that may creep in and undermine our agile execution model.

Technical Leadership:

  • Mentor the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

  • Create development plans that clearly outline the path for team members to grow from an entry level analyst to a senior level technical product owner.

  • Set up technical product ownership centers of excellence to expand best practices and innovation well beyond the boundaries of your team.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies and encourage the same within the team.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Interface with business stakeholders to help shape goals, prioritize needs and outline requirements in support of our ATMaas strategy.

  • Establish periodic cadences to communicate roadmap progress, demo new features and keep aligned with stakeholders.

  • Establish strong practices for release communications that highlight our progress, connect users to upcoming features and ensure there is no disruption to users or the business as new features are released.

  • Collaborate routinely across the enterprise to deliver updates and address any challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Engineering).

  • At least 3 years experience leading people, in an agile environment

  • Proven experience as a technical product owner or business analyst.

  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product development processes.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to balance technical expertise with business acumen.
