Staff VP Talent Lifecycle

Location: Indianapolis, Chicago, Atlanta and Minnesota

The role involves driving associate engagement, influencing HR processes, leading key initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and managing various programs and activities to enhance the associate experience at Elevance Health.

Position Responsibilities

  • Put insights into action related to associate engagement and other listening channels to enhance our Employee Value Proposition and sustain external recognition for Elevance Health (e.g., Great Place to Work, Fortune Top Workplaces, etc.)

  • Influence HR team and process owners to enhance HR processes and digital solutions for a user-centric, efficient, accessible experience for diverse associates.

  • Lead key initiatives directly impacting the associate experience, demonstrating strong program management skills to ensure their success (e.g., Hybrid Program/Return to Office, Vaccination Campaigns, etc.)

  • Form partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Caproate Communications, Culture, and Legal, to guide transformation initiatives and improve HR services for increased efficiency and improved associate experiences.

  • Manage and lead leadership assessment programs, including designing assessment criteria, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and overseeing the assessment process.

  • Manage and lead executive coaching programs, identifying coaching needs, selecting and supervising external coaches, and evaluating program effectiveness.

  • Manage and lead onboarding day one activities, such as designing orientation schedules, coordinating with various departments, and ensuing a smooth onboarding experience for new associates.

  • Manage and lead talent and performance management operations, including identifying key talent, implementing performance management systems, and developing strategies for talent retention.

Position Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in HR or related field and a minimum of 15 years extensive, progressive HR experience working for a large complex public corporation, majorly emphasizing employee engagement and process enhancement initiatives across large scale organizations.

  • Experience in leading teams and implementing HR strategies.

  • Experience with HRIS, talent management systems, learning infrastructure, and other HR technology solutions.

  • Experience in developing and executing talent management plans.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

  • Experience in change management, succession planning, and leadership development is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
