Position Summary & Key Areas Responsibility:

• S ystem Design and ar chitecture: Lead the design and architecture of observability systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Real-time monitoring solutions: Develop and implement real-time monitoring solutions to track the performance and health of software applications and infrastructure.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand monitoring and logging requirements and integrate observability solutions into the development lifecycle.

• Logging and Tracing: Implement l ogging and tracing mechanisms to capture relevant data for troubleshooting, performance optimization and root cause analysis.

• Performance Optimization: Optimize system performance by identifying bottlenecks, improving data collection methods, and enhancing monitoring capabilities.

• Architectural Decision making: Participate in architectural decision-making processes, offering insights and recommendations based on observability requirements and industry trends.

• Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance and contribute to the team's professional growth.

• Stay informed about the emerging technologies and tools in observability, evaluating their suitability for the organization needs.

• Estimate time and resources for software development and testing efforts so that the products are delivered to the customer without any delays.

• Experience in diagnosing and debugging issues within system or in downstream dependencies , working with other teams to resolve issues.

• Participate and contribute to an effective software development lifecycle including a high focus on customer support and root cause analysis.

  Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s / master ’ s degree in computer science engineering

• 5+ years of experience working with software engineering teams in designing and building cloud platforms and infrastructure.

• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes and containerized platforms

• 2+ years of experience with data monitoring, logging tools like Prometheus, Fluent bit

• 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and technology: like GitHub Actions, Artifactory

• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as Go, Node.js, Java.

• 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.

• Strong collaboration , issue tracking using GitHub and coaching skills.

• Ability to document and publish recommendations and guidance

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GCP, GKE , Observability tools.

• Experience with cloud-based integration, CI/CD , Kubernetes

• General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Google Cloud Platform.

• Languages /Technologies including Go, Kubernetes, GitHub.

• Familiarity using and parti cipating in open-source projects.

• In-depth knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (including agile, iterative, and other modern approaches to software development)  

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)  

• Ability to estimate work effort for stories and epics, and ensure the milestones are successfully completed. 

• Ability to guide and advise on best practices for architecture and design based on previous experience. 

• Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external customers and contacts .   

• Willingly and successfully fulfills the role of teacher, mentor, and coach.  

• Knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practice
