Robert Half Staff Accountant in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for handling General Ledger accounting and Accounts Payable tasks. You will be a key player in our team, ensuring that our financial data is accurate, timely, and consistent with best practice accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Handle daily General Ledger accounting tasks including journal entries and month-end close procedures

• Process and manage Accounts Payable tasks, ensuring all invoices are paid on time

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to track and analyze financial data

• Work closely with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure all customer payments are accounted for and properly posted

• Regularly review and update customer credit records, taking necessary action to collect delinquent payments

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work

• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to improve and streamline accounting procedures. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar capacity.

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.

• Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations.

• Proficient in managing the General Ledger.

• Skilled in creating and maintaining Journal Entries.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP accounting software.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
