HD Supply Sr Manager, Portfolio Management in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary

Defines the organization’s future business direction by leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives, long-term growth strategies, and business development.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads the development and implementation of business and growth strategies.

  • Works with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for organic improvements to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and cash flow enhancement.

  • Interfaces with key stakeholders to define, launch, and drive strategic and operational initiatives, including developing and implementing high-impact business strategies.

  • Directs the development of business and process analytics used for strategic business process improvement initiatives.

  • Develops and leads cross-functional strategic initiative projects. Works closely with project teams to accomplish project objectives and execute business strategies.

  • Identifies inorganic growth strategies and capability opportunities for the business.

  • Supports priority business development projects, including enterprise strategies, acquisitions and integrations, and divestitures.

  • Translates complex data into executive and board-level presentations to articulate process improvement options and recommendations.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
