Home Depot Sr. Analyst, Design (NCD Fixture Support) in Atlanta, Georgia

Position Purpose:

This position reports to the Sr. Manager of NCD and supports the entire NCD team for all engineering concepts and details needed. Experience in concept refinement, value engineering, material selection, manufacturing processes and production ready documentation. Anticipates the specific engineering needs of each project and works to coordinate activities between internal departments and vendors to ensure the best quality, on time and within budget. Thoroughly understands the critical importance of clear and organized communication between all company departments including design, operations project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 10% Owns the accuracy of all store planning data for assigned areas; Conduct analytics leveraging Store Planning related information to support improved business process and decisions.

  • 75% Ensure integrity of store project floor plans and data in relation to what has been planned and executed; Makes departmental and store merchandising recommendations, including space allocation and bay adjacencies based on store sales performance analysis; Develop multiple store layout projects simultaneously while adhering to project scope, timelines and quality metrics; Develops supporting documentation to support implementation of projects; Comply with all building regulations, corporate standards and internal quality standards

  • 15% Assist the merchant and suppliers to define and articulate project strategy and objectives, scope and business requirements. Think creatively to make recommendations regarding executing strategies and potential solutions. Drive and develop programs and detailed scope through relationships with Merchants and other In Store Environment teams; Teaches associates about project scope by creating documentation, leading group training sessions and in store activities; Influence store space decisions in assigned projects that meet the goals of the organization and are mutually beneficial for the merchants, stores and ultimately THD customers.

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years in general design and development, preferably in retail store fixture, millwork or display design, steel fabrications and manufacturing.

  • High level of proficiency with 3D modeling software - Inventor; FormZ or SolidWorks. Knowledge of CAD & Revit a plus

  • 2 Year Associates - with directly correlated industry retail or manufacturing experience of 2+ years.

  • Mechanical or other Engineering degree, directly related to Metal or structural fabrication.

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
