Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with a strong background in managing intercompany transactions and financial consolidation. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of general accounting principles and be comfortable working with significant volume data.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate intercompany transactions and account reconciliations.

  • Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.

  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management, and tax and insurance entries.

  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital; prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other financial reports.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.

  • Prepare and analyze ad-hoc operational or financial performance reports.

  • Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; convert data to general ledger system; obtain supplementary information for preparing financial statements.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. An advanced degree is a plus.

  • CPA or similar qualification is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.

  • A strong understanding of intercompany transactions, foreign currency matters, and consolidations.

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other financial systems and software.

  • High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who will own responsibility for their areas.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
