Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join their team!
This position will start remote then transition into office starting in June - 4 days/week. Candidates must be local to the greater Atlanta area and willing to work a hybrid schedule!
The primary objective of the Scrum Master is to help one or more self-organizing, self-managing scrum teams achieve predictable delivery of releases. The Scrum Master will help implement and improve Scrum practices as well as identify and eliminate impediments. The Scrum Master role is also responsible for organizing and facilitating scrum ceremonies such as release/sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint demos, retrospectives, story grooming sessions, and any other Scrum-related meetings.
Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives and other agile events.
Ensure the team follows Scrum practices and principles.
Protect the team from over-committing and scope creep.
Aid in estimation and sub-task creation.
Work as the administrator of the scrum board, ensuring that cards are up to date and the scrum tools like Jira are working well
Eliminate external blockers and manage internal roadblocks through process or workflow improvements
Assist teams in defining and setting up their metrics boards to drive improvements
Coach teams/ their members in their agile ways of working and foster continuous improvement mindset and practices.

Skills and Requirements
Experience in a Scrum Master role for at least 5 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Experience of leading teams in large scale and complex, cross functional environments
Experience in helping to establish/ lead Srum Master practice
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Ability to work with and lead a team.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification is preferred null
