HD Supply Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition- Field Supply Chain Strategy in Atlanta, Georgia

Job-Specific Responsibilities and Preferred Qualifications

Leads a team of 3 Recruiting Managers and 20+ Recruiters (indirect reports) focusing on field supply chain recruiting.

Process Optimization:

  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying, analyzing, and optimizing recruitment processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Experience in implementing process improvements that reduce time-to-hire, enhance candidate experience, and streamline workflows.

  • Ability to leverage technology and automation to optimize talent acquisition processes and drive continuous improvement.

Scalability and Standardization:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing scalable talent acquisition processes and systems that support organizational growth.

  • Ability to standardize recruitment practices across multiple regions or business units to ensure consistency and efficiency.

  • Track record of designing and executing strategies that accommodate increasing hiring demands while maintaining high-quality standards.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Proficient in utilizing data analysis tools and methodologies to drive strategic talent acquisition decisions.

  • Ability to interpret data sets and translate insights into actionable recruitment strategies.

  • Experience in developing and implementing metrics and KPIs to evaluate and enhance talent acquisition performance.

Team Development:

  • Demonstrated experience in building, leading, and mentoring high-performing recruitment teams.

  • Proven track record in developing team members’ skills and careers through targeted coaching and professional development programs.

  • Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that drives engagement and results.

Market Trends and Insights:

  • Deep understanding of current and emerging talent market trends, including industry-specific insights and labor market dynamics.

  • Experience in leveraging market research to inform and adapt talent acquisition strategies.

Senior Leadership Partnership and Presentation:

  • Extensive experience in partnering with senior leadership to align talent acquisition strategies with organizational goals.

  • Proven ability to effectively present data-driven insights and recommendations to executive teams.

Project Management:

  • Demonstrated capability in managing complex recruitment projects from inception to completion.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams to achieve project goals within scope, budget, and timeline.

Job Summary

Responsible for leading talent acquisition activities for the organization. Partner with senior human resource management to develop and implement an enterprise-wide comprehensive recruiting strategy and corresponding programs to enable the organization to achieve its business objectives. Lead a proactive recruiting organization to ensure world class talent is attracted, recruited, and retained. Provide strategic direction to the corporate and field recruiting teams.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads the development of an enterprise-wide recruiting plan that identifies gaps and focuses on acquiring talent to meet the current and future needs of the organization. Leads, manages, mentors, and coaches the corporate recruiting and field recruitment teams.

  • Initiates and implements recruiting processes, policies, and services that are aligned with the core values, mission, and vision of the organization.

  • Develops appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure the success of the recruitment function. Provides a base from which to constantly improve and develop performance.

  • Prepares budgetary recommendations that meet departmental goals and provide for effective management of resources.

  • Optimizes the applicant tracking system to manage the entire candidate process. Ensures optimal employment practices and compliance with government regulations.

  • Provides direction and consultation to senior management on strategic and emerging recruiting/sourcing trends.

  • Manages external resources, including recruiting firms and other employment-related vendors.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
