We develop creative and innovative marketing strategies that communicate the value of Mailchimp’s marketing platform to customers across the globe.

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Lifecycle Marketing to join our growing Lifecycle Marketing and Operations team. This role will be focused on Mailchimp customers after their first 90 days and will be responsible for using data analysis & predictive modeling to develop strategies to drive engagement, retention, upgrades, and cross-sells. You will help design and create end-to-end multi-channel journeys that are relevant, compelling, and segmented. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver on our business goals and our lifecycle strategies.

What you'll bring

  • 6+ yrs experience in Lifecycle/Email marketing, with a preference for candidates that have worked in retention and churn prevention

  • Proven ability utilizing key customer and behavioral data to drive compelling and relevant customer communications strategies that drive business impact

  • Expertise in dynamic, triggered automations, and multi-platform direct customer communications

  • Strong bias for action which includes constant testing, learning and iterating, and have proven examples of how you have used this to deliver meaningful results

  • Customer obsessed and understand the need to put customers at the center of all programs and engage with them seamlessly across all touch points in real-time

  • Self-starter and thrive when building something new, showing a passion for leading projects and looking for ways to improve communication and collaboration

  • Technically savvy and intellectually curious about new marketing technologies and how they work to enable customer experiences

  • Strong relationship building skills driven through the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively

  • Extremely organized, dependable and a stickler for the details

  • Experience in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment with the ability to be flexible, adaptive to change, and comfortable with ambiguity with the ability to multitask

  • Prior experience with B2B SaaS products, and specifically SaaS based marketing solutions, a plus

How you will lead

  • Build a deep understanding of both our customers and the Mailchimp platform, so you are able to craft powerful customer experiences for Mailchimp users

  • Work cross-functionally to create “wow” omni-channel, automated, and personalized experiences using customer behavior, data insights, and AI

  • Optimize and improve the use of existing owned touchpoints and pilot new channels to increase the number of customers upgrading from free to paid plans

  • Incorporate test & learn strategies into your initiatives by implementing measurement best practices and partnering with the Analytics team to measure lift on KPIs

  • Partner with Marketing Operations to plan and manage the end to end process of multi-channel campaigns, using the right technology and data to amplify the strategy

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to ensure we’re communicating the right value prop, market context and product features for key segments and markets

  • Partner with Customer teams to create connected customer journeys and offer high touch human assist experiences for high-value users

  • Partner with the data science teams to test and build out model-based customer journeys that drive business results
