Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s Degree in Dietetics from a regionally accredited college or university or 2 years of college education in nutrition, dietetics, culinary arts.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of related experience within food service industry (hospital, clinic, or research setting).
Availability for weekend scheduling required.

Job Duties
Description of Job Duty
The Research Diet Technician provides support in research meal preparation and dietary analysis, along with coordinating the assembling of food for preparation of research diets.
Additional duties include maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards according to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points ( HACCP ), local environmental health agency, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration ( OSHA ) regulations.
Maintain food inventory while also assisting Bionutrition Core Manager with administering dietary recalls, food surveys, food procurement and other nutrition related activities.
The Research Diet Technician will have the ability to apply their knowledge of the following:
Clinical research structure
Relevant federal, state and local regulations including but not limited to HACCP and OSHA
The principles of dietetics
The operation of precision balances
Microsoft Word and Excel at a basic level

Immunization Requirements
It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
