JOB SUMMARY:
The REP Teacher is responsible for the education of assigned scholars and will create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth. The REP teacher will establish effective rapport with scholars; motivate scholars to develop skills, attitudes, and the knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further education and do so in accordance with each student's ability. Professional relations will be developed and maintained with other staff and parents. Provide foundational support for scholars who are performing in Tier II Intervention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provides daily instruction based on REP model (augmented, reduced class, or self-contained)
Provides Academy Leader and REP coordinator with detailed daily REP schedule
Maintains an accurate and up-to-date data notebook to include but not limited to progress monitoring, benchmark results, and differentiated lesson plans.
Analyzes assessment data weekly to target explicit, systematic, small group instruction and to plan for continuous improvement for each scholar, subgroup of scholars, and the school as a whole.
Complete weekly lesson plans and share with Academy Leader
Aligns instruction with Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and district expectations for learning.
Collaborates regularly with general education teachers to design, monitor, and revise instruction to ensure that scholars are progressing toward the standards.
Charts and documents the growth of each REP scholar’s data based on the instruction provided using iReady and SLO data
Conveys high expectations for student achievement through instructional goals, activities, interactions, and environment.
Supervises scholars and maintains discipline at all.
Works collaboratively with REP coordinator to ensure FTE documents are properly completed
Adheres to GaDOE guidelines for serving REP eligible scholars.
Maintain all REP documents needed to support REP scholars’ entrance and exit from the program.
Protects the confidentiality of student information.
Interacts positively with scholars and parents.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Georgia Educator’s Certificate preferred but not required
Bachelor’s Degree Required
3+ Years’ Experience in content area required
