Job Description

* Developing and implementing quality assurance strategies and policies

* Developing test plans (both new function testing and regression testing) to ensure robustness and performance of the technical solution

* Collaborating with developers to develop solutions and improve software engineering processes.

* Coordinating with additional development, implementation, and testing resources

* Executing tests with appropriate techniques to identify bugs and defects

* Reporting and managing the resolution of defects

* Monitoring test progress and alerting of related issues and risks

* Collaborate with project team members and manage assigned tasks using collaboration tools

Pay rate $45-50/hr

Skills and Requirements

* Strong background in software development and quality assurance

* Familiarity with data transport protocols such as SFTP, RESTful, and S3

* Experience with HL7 standards, v2.x required (at least order, result and ADT messages)

* Experience working with Federal agencies, public health agencies or laboratories, or especially with any public health surveillance systems is a plus

* Experience working with healthcare or EHR systems is a plus

* Familiarity with JIRA, Smartsheet and/or Confluence is a plus

* Five years of relevant job experience or advanced technical training or experience in health informatics

* A bachelor's degree with a focus on IT information systems, engineering or similar discipline null
