How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Transaction Processing is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with expertise in service center implementation and process improvement. This person should possess a strong knowledge of Accounts Payable/Receivable, Disbursements, and Purchasing Card programs. This role involves leading transformative initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, align with enterprise goals, and manage the overall performance of our shared service centers.

The Project Manager’s responsibilities will include:

  • Overall process improvement for department functions with emphasis on service center activities

  • Lead a cross-functional working group to analyze and improve service center processes.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to enhance service center operations, aligning technology resources with organizational objectives and enterprise goals.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, gather requirements, and establish measurable performance metrics for service center operations.

  • Design and execute project plans, ensuring successful implementation of strategic initiatives within established timelines.

  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, potential challenges, and effective solutions.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within service centers by promoting best practices and coordinating necessary training with Subject Matter Experts.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service center improvements, refining processes as needed for ongoing optimization.

  • Remain informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to facilitate continuous innovation and improvement for service center operations.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager specializing in process improvement and service center modernization, preferably in the aviation or transportation industry.* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on drawing concise conclusions from complex analyses across multiple data resources.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate and build consensus across diverse teams, using intracompany relationships to drive results.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines.

  • High level of professionalism, the ability to recognize and address problems with the appropriate sense of urgency and the capacity to work independently with minimal instruction or supervision.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field

  • Three or more years of experience in project management.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, with relevant certifications.

  • Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or PCard processes.

  • Aptitude for innovation and improvement via technology.
