KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages a project.

  • Coordinates the strategic planning process and monitors progress toward achieving project goals.

  • Assists in developing, administering and monitoring project related budgets.

  • Coordinates logistical arrangements for related conferences, conventions or meetings.

  • May assist in identifying funding resources and in developing funding strategies and initiatives.

  • Develops and generates various operational and statistical reports.

  • Represents and promotes the project at various speaking engagements.

  • May write grants, reports, briefings, newsletters, promotional or other written material related to the project.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:

  • Assists in coordinating routine activities associated with Emory at Grady Dean’s Office for research. Activities include, but are not limited to, research portal and website maintenance, managing Emory at Grady research inboxes, communication dissemination to the Emory at Grady research community.

  • Participates in education, implementation planning, execution, and monitoring of progress towards the Emory at Grady Research office goals.

  • Manages existing and future process improvement efforts based on continuous review of workflows; identifies opportunities for operational efficiencies.

  • Develops data collection systems, analyzes and compiles data for leadership and other key stakeholders

  • Create Emory at Grady research meetings minutes and assist the Associate Director for Research Programs & Operations with related events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related project management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Resourceful, creative, adaptable, flexible

  • Detail oriented

  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite; high-level PowerPoint skills a plus.

  • Open to learning new software tools

  • Excellent time/project management skills

  • Comfortable with multi-tasking

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department.This role requires residency in the state of GA.Emory reserves the right to change remote workstatus with notice toemployee.
