The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Product Quality Analyst who will support the WestRock Global Paper Claims and Quality team objectives by preparing, managing, and distributing data intensive reports focused on product quality. This individual will design robust and effective reporting and dashboards for real time comparisons and trend analyses that drive a deep understanding of quality issues and answer critical business questions. This individual will handle automated reporting using advanced reporting techniques, and provide data driven insights that enable strategic decision-making and represent the voice of our customers. The role requires analytical expertise, advanced skills, and business acumen to effectively partner with cross-functional teams. In addition, function as the focal point for external customer requests for product certification and compliance documents. Liaise with the corporate legal team and the corporate product safety group to validate appropriate documentation and generate required documents as appropriate. Other responsibilities include maintaining related internal SharePoint content and seeking opportunities for continued improvement to existing processes.

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Create, maintain, and distribute data intensive reports and dashboards related to the quality initiatives.

  • Proactively design effective and modern data reporting techniques needed to prepare, automate, and analyze reports.

  • Use analyses findings to design interactive reports for real time comparisons and trend analysis.

  • Analyze the reports generated for trends and inconsistencies. Effectively communicate insights to internal teams, senior management, and external partners by distilling results to essential learning and actional recommendations.

  • Process external customer requests for product certification and compliance documents. Interface with other departments to gather information, validate appropriate documentation and generate required documents as appropriate.

  • Use a customer focus to improve processes and expedite responses to customers wherever possible.

  • Maintain SharePoint content related to quality. Update sites, source documents and validate their content.

  • Assist with maintaining various quality documents as needed.

  • Seeking opportunities for continued improvement to existing processes.

What you need to succeed (Requirements):.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or relevant studies.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment and customer facing.

  • Highly capable data analyst experience including data modeling, statistical analysis, forecasts and predictions.

  • Skilled and creative data storyeller using report design with a high curiousity to continuously improve existing content.

  • Superior MS Excel experience. Additional experience using modern automation applications is preferred.

  • Experience supporting a global organization and working with cross functional partners.

  • Self motivated, self directed, and goal driven.

  • Able to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularily with respect to customer interfaces.

  • Ability to work independently while being a strong teammate.

  • Proven problem solver with an attention to detail.
