Waystar Product Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

ABOUT THIS POSITION

This role reports to a Director, Product Management and work closely with User Experience team and Technology teams. The Product Manager will coordinate with key stakeholders in sales, marketing, design, development, and operations. This role will be charged with leading game changing efforts at Waystar within the company’s Product team for new to market and existing solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Epic and User Story and acceptance criteria writing, effectively translating business requirements into technical requirements.

  • Perform quality assurance testing on new features prior to release and post-release as needed.

  • Work closely with delivery management to ensure work progresses on schedule, and risks are raised to management in a timely manner.

  • Analyze various product inputs, and customer requirements, designing solution architectures and developing and writing business requirements documents for new product and feature development

  • Prepare software design plans including product specifications, use case documentation and user interface wireframes (both independently and with assistance from our User Experience team)

  • Work with internal teams to prepare product documentation, including release notes, user guides, settings guides, limited-release documentation, operational readiness and launch materials.

  • Studying healthcare industry standards and staying up to date on industry changes and compliance issues

  • Gathering inspiration and ideas by visiting customers regularly and reviewing software and other products that solve similar problems

  • Collecting direct customer feedback by organizing user tests, studying customer support incidents, administering user surveys, and visiting customers to study product interaction in their natural environment

  • Assisting your Director of Product Management in coordinating with sales, marketing, development, and customer support to bring together divergent ideas and convince various stakeholders to rally behind a single product vision

  • Working with your Director of Product Management to manage the product roadmap, including documenting product strategy, maintaining the feature backlog, and coordinating releases

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • You are extremely organized and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to continuously level up the team’s knowledge and performance.

  • You are comfortable speaking in front of large audiences and presenting feature proposals, feature releases, and training documents.

  • You know how to execute and like to roll up your sleeves to get things done

  • You are comfortable in front of a whiteboard and can describe complex information in a concise but thorough fashion

  • Strong understanding of X12 Standards, the 270/271 transaction, and experience building and analyzing eligibility-related solutions.

  • You have provided leadership on a team that designed, built or used revenue cycle management solutions.

  • You can interpret regulatory guidelines, are familiar with the CAQH CORE operating rules, and payer companion guides.

  • You possess robust technical fundamentals, especially when it comes to building software

  • You have demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills; able to analyze a problem and design creative solutions

  • You have a keen attention to detail, an extraordinary eye for usability and the customer experience

  • You can demonstrate excellent written communication skills; able to succinctly convey complex ideas through the written word

  • You have great people skills; able to facilitate, negotiate and persuade stakeholders

  • You are flexible and agile; able to rapidly adapt to changing situations and inputs

Education and certifications:

  • College Degree required; Business or Computer Science degree preferred

  • Certifications: CSPO, CSPM, CSM preferred

  • Project Management proficiency preferred
