Chick-fil-A Principal, International Talent Operations in Atlanta, Georgia

Overview

The Principal, International Talent Operations will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of HR processes and procedures within the International Business Unit. This position will be primarily responsible for managing international compliance requirements, employment contracts, HRIS, record management, wellness benefit administration, handbook/policy management, and other similar HR operational tasks for Chick-fil-A International. This role will facilitate our talent operations group that has members from key stakeholder groups including Talent, Legal, Finance and Digital Transformation & Technology. This role will be responsible for understanding, interpreting and applying global CFA practices into their work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR laws and regulations, exceptional attention to detail, a strong collaborator, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

This role will report to the International Talent Leader and will work with them to help create the Talent Operations Strategy. In addition, they will then work closely with Talent Leaders in the Divisions to ensure the strategy is executed with care and intentionality.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Management: Ensure the company's HR practices and policies are compliant with all relevant legal requirements in the various countries we serve, working directly with our Division HR roles and in alignment with Talent Operations.

  • Employment Contracts: Maintain, review, and administer employment contracts and offer letters. Ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with company policies and procedures. Key partnership is with Legal, Talent (Total Rewards) and Finance (Benefits and Payroll).

  • International HRIS Product Owner (Talent Modules, Profile Management) and Data Operations Management: Help drive the right size solution for the International Business Unit’s Division. Oversee the HR information system(s) (HRIS) and ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance. Ensure the system is compliant from a privacy and other compliance perspectives. Generate reports and provide data analysis as needed. Key partnership is with Talent (Talent Operations and Total Rewards) and Finance (Benefits and Payroll).

  • Employee Records Management/Data Privacy and Retention: Create the process for employee records in compliance with legal requirements including privacy laws and company policies. Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all employee records. Key partnership is with Employment Legal, Privacy Legal and the Division Talent roles.

  • Wellness Benefit Coordination and Administration: Help administer employee wellness benefits programs for Division Staff, which could include employee assistance program, fitness, meals, childcare, and other wellness initiatives. Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation. Key partnership is with the Division Talent roles and Finance (Benefits and Payroll).

  • HR Processes: Streamline and optimize HR processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness between the Support Center and the Hub. Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement. Key partnership is with the Division Talent roles and Talent Operations.

  • Handbook/Policy Management: Maintain and update the employee handbook to reflect changes in policies, procedures, and legal requirements for Division Staff. Ideal state is to create a global approach to handbooks. This role would also be responsible for creating the process for where it is housed with the appropriate viewership and employee signatures for changes (Workday). Key partnership is with the Division Talent roles and Talent Operations.

  • Training and Development for Talent Operations Areas: Provide training and support to employees and managers on HR-related topics, including compliance requirements, employment contracts, HRIS usage, and handbook policies.

  • Program Management and Facilitation for the Talent Solutions Team: Orchestrating the initiatives of the Talent Solutions Team (key stakeholders from Digital Transformation Technology, Finance, Legal, and Talent), ensuring seamless coordination and progress towards shared objectives. This role requires strong facilitation skills to foster collaboration and drive impactful outcomes within the SME community.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8 years relevant work experience

  • Ability to build and maintain trust-based, collaborative relationships and influence others

  • Self-starter with natural tendency to take initiative and work cross functionally

  • Proven experience managing multiple priorities and anticipating needs

  • Strong judgment and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical and communication skills

  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office software

  • Strong proficiency in project management/program management processes, tools, and systems

  • Systems thinking

  • Comfortable learning new software/systems
