An Insight Global client is looking for an IT Project Manager to join their PMO. This client supports retail stores within airport environments. This individual will be supporting the internal infrastructure division. The projects they will be taking in may include, but are not limited to, Network Consolidation, Intune Implementation, NAC Expansion and implementation, cloud migrations, tech refreshes, and others. They need a project manager with infrastructure knowledge to come in and hit the ground running. You are expected to be in their Vinings, GA location 3x a week onsite. This role may be asked to travel on occasion to airport locations (less than 10% of the time).

This team is currently using Waterfall Methodology and will transition to Agile in the future.

OFFICIAL POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion adhering to the company project management methodology. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, developing project plans, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This individual will work across all IT groups including application development and security, as well as other business units to develop project plans, budgets, communications plan, and resource plans.

They must be fluent in project management methodology as prescribed by the Project Management Institute and will be expected to communicate regular project status updates to all levels in the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Develop and maintain detailed project plans in Microsoft Project including resource allocation, timelines and budgets. Create all project artifacts (charter, scope, etc.) as dictated by the project methodology.

 Estimate project costs; build and manage project budgets to project completion.

 Create resource plans and monitor through course of project.

 Develop weekly status reports using standard templates and formats.

 Review and validate all third-party invoices and other costs as they apply to the project.

 Develop communication plans and executive presentations on project status.

 Work with IT management on task sizing, effort, and documentation for projects, either IT or business projects with IT components.

 Identify and assess project risks, create risk mitigation, and implement action plans.

 Manage multiple projects individually and as part of a program, all simultaneously.

 Monitor project progress, identify, and resolve issues and manage tasks to completion.

 Proficiency with a wide range of tools (MS Project or MS Project Online, MS Team, MS Office tools (Outlook, One Drive, Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, One Note)

 Coordinate and manage hardware, software and infrastructure testing activities required for risk mitigation prior to implementation.

 Conduct project retrospective meetings and prepare closeout documents on respective projects

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

 Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or information systems.

 3 - 5 years of recent relevant experience as a project manager

 Working knowledge of PMI project management methodology.

 PMI Certification (PMP or Agile Scrum Master)is preferred

 Must be proficient in Microsoft Project or other similar project management tools.

 Recent experience managing large infrastructure projects.

 Domain knowledge of networking concepts, server technology, etc. is a plus.

 Experience with project and portfolio management tools such as PPM, Clarity, etc.

 Ability to function within a team environment and must possess strong inter-personnel skills.

 Ability to interact with users of varying levels of technological understanding.

 Ability to clearly explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical personnel.

 Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and projects with varying deadlines.

 Good time management skills with the ability to self-manage support/issue priorities.

 Strong leadership and team management skills.

 Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Good negotiation skills.

 Ability to prioritize work and approach tasks with a sense of urgency.

Skills and Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

 4-5 years of IT Project Management experience

  Focus in infrastructure projects

  Managing large scale network deployment/implementation/migrations experience

  This current project is a network consolidation project which includes reviewing airport sites with multiple network set ups, reviewing the consolidation efforts to reduce to firewalls, routers and switches, gets estimated costs for the projects, reviewing Return on Investment and then coordinating projects to switch out equipment and cabling. Project is around $1 million and involves pricing out hardware, software, labor, etc. Project cost estimating experience is helpful.

  Some projects could also include working with firewalls, cabling, cloud migrations.

 Proficiency with MS Office productivity tools (MS Word/Excel/Visio/PowerPoint/Project)

 Experience with Microsoft Project for PM tools

 Attention to detail / detail-oriented

 Ability to gather requirements and ask the right questions for a project

 Ability to create project artifacts including Project Schedules, Dependency documents

 Ability to mange project budgets, project scope and project risks

 Ability to breakdown tasks and report progress.

 Must have experience in managing projects budgets and resource capacity planning. Additional Skills:

 Experience working in an airport environment

 PMP or any certification

 Retail POS exposure

 Power BI understanding and knowledge

 Bachelors degree in IT related field

 Experience with Jira PM tooling

Compensation:

$30/hr to $50/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
