Working Hours: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM ET (negotiable)
Major Tasks & Responsibilities:
This role is crucial to the business and editorial operations, focusing on marketing efforts to enhance our presence in target countries. Responsibilities include:
Processing news release submissions.
Managing registrant applications.
Addressing customer inquiries and handling embargo-violation complaints.
Drafting marketing messages and implementing digital marketing strategies.
Administrative and Technical Tasks:
Filing, faxing, photocopying, and reception duties.
Technical proofreading and editing.
Data entry and external communications (mass emails, letters, calls).
Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel, Salesforce, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Candidate Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related fields. A background in science is an asset.
Experience:
Proven experience in media, marketing, and/or academic publishing.
Strong research, professional writing, and editing skills in English; fluency in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, or Portuguese is a plus.
Customer service experience with the ability to manage inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
Familiarity with analytics tools for tracking and optimizing digital campaigns, along with in-depth knowledge of SEO techniques.
Proficiency in marketing tools and software, including email marketing platforms, Salesforce, social media tools, and analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics.
