HD Supply Manager, Organizational Change Management (Training) in Atlanta, Georgia

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Advanced degree such as a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.

  • 5-7 years professional Training and instructional design experience, with a track record of successfully designing and delivering comprehensive training programs.

  • 2+ years of management experience

  • Certification (e.g., Certified Instructional Designer (CID), Certified Instructional Technologist (CIT), Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Certified Corporate Trainer (CCT), Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP))

  • Experience with project management phases, tools and approaches (e.g., PMO, waterfall approach, AGILE methodology)

  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning, training, instructional design, methods and tools, procedures and standards

  • Ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within defined timelines.

  • Ability to analyze training needs, evaluate training effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Exceptional communication skills (written & verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent active listening skills, strong organization and project management skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas to diverse audiences.

  • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values

  • Must be a great teammate/leader and have the ability to work collaboratively with others

Job Summary

Leads change management projects, including changes to business processes, technologies, and organizational structures. Identifies project risks, defines and communicates project impacts, designs and coordinates training, and measures change receptiveness and adoption.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Manages a team of professionals that support change management activities, including ensuring projects and change initiatives meet time, budget, and business success objectives.

  • Conducts change impact assessments to identify project scope changes, end user impacts, and desired outcomes.

  • Manages and develops detailed plans for communications, training, user preparations, application readiness, and ongoing project support.

  • Builds measurement systems to track the adoption, usage, and proficiency of change management initiatives.

  • Coordinates training deployment for new and existing business stakeholders.

  • Supports end users through change network meetings and post-implementation communications.

  • Trains, coaches, and consults leaders and project teams on change management principles.

  • Serves as a change management resource to executives, senior leaders, and managers on special projects and initiatives.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

  • Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
