What You’ll Work On

  • Perform account/customer segmentation analytics and create account targeting reports; work with regional and local sales teams and EA to identify key customer targets

  • Lead discussions to consult with sales leaders to generate insights on customer contracting strategies and profitability impacts, with the objective of Profit optimization.

  • Analyze existing contracting and rebate strategies and improve pricing models of potential changes to quantify sales and profitability impact to customer segments, brands and markets

  • Lead price tests to adjust and optimize local portfolio and life cycle pricing strategies

  • Responsibility for collecting and analyze data to understand Market trends, sales trends, customer behavior, and other relevant metrics in order to identify opportunities for growth and create impactful, future strategies.

  • Work closely with field sales management to identify competitive accounts for conversion and leveraging all commercial and non-commercial functions to gain business and take share

  • Identify process improvements by evaluating existing sales processes and identifying opportunities for streamlining and optimization to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Collaborate with key business partners: Marketing, Sales, & Finance. Understand downstream needs (Field) and upstream needs to act as an efficient bridge between the teams. Lead discussions to consult with sales leaders to generate insights on customer contracting strategies

  • Perform data mining, cleansing, and manipulation; identify necessary data elements and their sources, use appropriate tools to acquire and consolidate large volumes of data from different sources, and identify and resolve any irrelevant, corrupt, missing, or incongruent data

  • Create metrics to measure contract outcomes and compliance, market share, revenue, and other performance metrics

  • Track and provide regular reporting and updates for senior management on the status of all IDN contracts (current, potential, in process, etc.)

  • Ownership for necessary Excel, Smartsheet and Power BI Reports for tracking, reporting and analytics on pricing and contracting activities, along with tracking of Total Available Market for all franchises

  • Perform data mining, cleansing, and manipulation; identify necessary data elements and their sources, use appropriate tools to acquire and consolidate large volumes of data from different sources, and identify and resolve any irrelevant, corrupt, missing, or incongruent data

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of business experience is required with 3 plus years in either Pricing or Finance experience is strongly preferred with Medical device industry experience, preferably in Structural Heart with hands-on experience in problem solving using quantitative research, pricing & contract analysis and data.

  • Proven ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable insights and coherent strategies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with multiple business partners.

  • Ability to find out-of-the-box/non-traditional ways of problem solving and apply innovative thinking when approaching and defining solutions. Enjoys the challenge posed by ‘problems’ and enjoys solving them.

  • Desire to work in a fast paced, growing, deadline driven, startup-up environment. Ability to inform rapid, but fact-based decision-making with imperfect data. Self-motivated, driven to achieve teams commitments.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity/insufficiency: Embraces change and encourages others throughout this process. At ease creating contingency plans and rallies others to do likewise.

  • Curious/Inquisitive: Investigates the current situation, asks the relevant questions needed to get the whole picture then provides specific actionable recommendations.

  • Encourages team collaboration, works well with peers across multiple functionalities within the company, promotes enthusiasm, uses influence when necessary and motivates relationship building.

  • Advanced Excel, Power BI and analytical skills required.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically.

  • Gets it done – Believes that actions speak louder than words, thrives on achievement.

  • Extreme attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • Background in Finance, Contracting, Math or other quantitative discipline is helpful.

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
