The (Corporate) Instructional Designer I (ID1) is accountable for delivering continuous, quality learning solutions and materials that support Aveanna’s learning and development strategy.

Instructional Designer 1 will be responsible for developing engaging and effective learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse learners. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing instructional materials and courses that support the organization’s training and development goals.

*This is a hybrid position. The candidates must live within driving distance of the Atlanta Corporate office.

Essential Job Functions

Develops educational curriculum to include instructor-led training, job aids, interactive e-courses, audio/video, assessments, and other training solutions for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners.

Applies sound instructional design principles (ADDIE) to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

Creates storyboards, scripts, and other design documents.

Uses various authoring tools and related software to produce multimedia training programs.

Participates in project meetings and contributes to project planning and timelines.

Delivers classroom and virtual training as necessary. Helps other teammates and peers prepare for classroom and virtual delivery.

Responsible for writing outlines, syllabi, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs, training the trainers on instructor-led training solutions.

Represents the Learning and Development Team on various corporate project teams, ensuring key training deliverables are completed within scope and on time.

Writes concise, creative, and effective instruction. Must have strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when writing and providing peer review.

Effectively communicates with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.

Appropriately prioritizes tasks to reach immediate needs, demonstrating visibility and accountability with project deadlines.

Works on many projects simultaneously.

Works independently and collaboratively.

Tests courses and is fluent with mobile device testing.

Aligns projects with Aveanna's goals, objectives, mission, vision, values, and 5Cs.

Revises/rebuilds existing courses as needed.

Ensures training materials are correct and accurate in a rapidly changing environment.

Is flexible and can back up other L&D department staff as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in education, Instructional Design, or work-equivalent experience.

1-4 years of training and instructional design experience preferred.

Experience developing online, classroom-based, and blended programs required.

Prior experience developing effective virtual learning solutions preferred.

Project Management skills preferred.

Proficiency in Windows Office 365 applications is required.

Articulate Rise skills are required.

Articulate Storyline skills preferred.

The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is required.
