The Global Payment Solutions (GPS) team within Microsoft are experts in compliant and accurate payments to Microsoft Suppliers and Partners. We leverage digital technologies and data-driven insights to streamline payment processes and influence business decisions. We are hiring for a Global Payments Solutions - Process Excellence Manager.

Responsibilities

As a GPS Process Excellence Manager you will design/redesign processes and define business outcomes for moderately complex processes within GPS to assess process performance. Monitor and evaluate process(es), including establishing metrics to ensure the process is performing as expected. Incorporate process excellence methodologies. Execute function-level change management using a strong understanding of the business.

  • Execute function-level risk mitigation controls and anticipates risk across a moderately complex process lifecycle (e.g., design, execution, optimization, evaluation), including logging and tracking risk. Shares process risk information and best practices with team.

  • Design/redesign processes by utilizing full working knowledge of process tools and methodologies (e.g., value stream mapping) in accordance with compliance and controls. Drive a clear end-to-end view of expected business outcomes for the processes by using data, research, and assessments. Maintains stakeholder engagement rhythm to drive process outcomes. Maintains partnerships by addressing pain points, and collaborate with business partners to identify alternative solutions and options to resolve challenges.

  • Monitor and evaluate process(es), including defining metrics to ensure the process is performing as expected. Interprets analyses to develop ideas for subsequent automation of moderately complex processes by translating data into recommendations. Uses statistical analyses and data to benchmark and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) to better understand moderately complex processes and make changes, if needed. Conducts data analysis to identify opportunities (e.g., aligning to industry standards, increasing productivity/efficiency, maintaining compliance/controls). Communicates findings to relevant stakeholders to maintain continuous feedback loops.

  • Incorporate process methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, value stream mapping, Prosci), and implement function-level process improvements, including optimizing, maintaining, and transforming current processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Incorporate feedback from others to identify opportunities for future process improvements.

  • Execute function-level change management using strong understanding of the business (e.g., readiness, timing, impact on stakeholders, data, tools, systems, policy, return on investment [ROI]).

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 2+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience (e.g., data analytics)

  • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience (e.g., data analytics)

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Lean, Business Process Management Professional, Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Six Sigma, and/or Agile certifications.

  • Demonstrated ability to collect data, conduct diagnostic analysis, identify opportunities that positively impact quality, cost, delivery excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Process Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
