Job Description Summary

Develop and Implement a global supply chain strategy for the business. Negotiate and achieve the best contractual conditions according to the business needs while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Job Description

  • Define global supplier strategy for a variety of components (mechanical, hydraulic, systems, etc.) including management and optimization of supplier panels and lead negotiations

  • Create a Market Intelligence for his/her own segments

  • Negotiate terms and conditions, manage claims and supplier recovery

  • Lead relationship with suppliers and monitor/improve its performance (Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery) in order to ensure the optimum supply chain for the business

  • Manage and report KPIs (QCD); prepares forecast & backlogs

  • Develop and lead cost out ideas on each of his/her scope. Support purchasing activities where required

  • Support ITO and Tendering team with the best accurate cost assumptions for the commodities

  • Support commodity standardization and rationalization actions

  • Develop a strong relationship with Engineering, Quality, Sales to partner in driving key sourcing and business objectives around cost, cash, supplier quality, NPI and fulfillment

  • Manage the risks in the supply chain, mitigate single source and under performing suppliers

  • Drive emerging market growth strategy and localization requirements

  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. Require strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

  • Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

  • Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business, having a supportive role in decision making about important subjects.

Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • Experience in Soucing function Procurement or Commodity Management

  • Experience in Power industry

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English

  • Desired Characteristics

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $108,700.00 - 181,100.00 USD Annual USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This Senior Professional Band (SPB3) position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus . The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. This position will stay open on the career website until at least July 17th.2024.
