POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Management leader will have full end-to-end ownership and accountability for product vision, features and functions, packaging, and delivery to market. This role will collaborate with stakeholders across a variety of functions to understand key business and customer objectives, understand technology solutions and dependencies, define best-in-class user experiences, and analyze data to inform product roadmaps. You will develop action plans and strategic direction for functional areas and maintains alignment with stakeholders to ensure the successful development of solutions. You will have responsibility for identifying, defining and prioritizing a forward-looking product roadmap, platform enhancements and strategic integrations.They will also ensure that the product roadmaps support the overall business strategy and goals. They are responsible for education, championing, and implementation of Product Management best practices throughout the organization. Leading the teams that drive innovation is a key part of this role. In order to be successful in this position, you need to be comfortable interfacing with and driving various technical and business functional teams and individuals at all levels of the company and around the world.

The optimal candidate will have experience in retail & platform product strategy & management, competitive assessment, business case development, organizational management and cloud, micro services and mobile technologies, bringing that rich experience to our client’s digital delivery channels. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Define and communicate the product vision in support of the consumer strategy, including maintaining a clear product roadmap aligned to delighting customers and driving aggressive growth (both from a customer and revenue perspective) in the short and long-term.

  • Able to independently identify the ideal approach to answering business questions by pulling from available internal/external resources.

  • Build a world-class product management organization that thrives on customer interaction, embraces design thinking, and role models a data-driven, test-and-learn approach to execution.

  • Provide leadership and be the expert on the competitive landscape, driving processes to identify current and potential competitors, research competitive products, and maintain competitive information.

  • Represent the customer. Build strong customer relationships. Develop deep insights on evolving customer requirements. Be the champion and voice of the customer. Bring the customer's voice into the product development process.

  • Be an expert on the domain, the market, the trends. Evangelize our vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context, and understand where we are going.

  • Defining a portfolio & roadmap that meets market needs

  • Build a customer-friendly migration path from a large install base to this next-gen solution

  • Enable our worldwide sales team and partner network to confidently and effectively sell our products & sale offerings

  • Develop coordinated strategic roadmaps of features and functionality to drive innovation & growth, enhance competitiveness, delight clients & users while maximizing profits.

  • Develop and pitch annual product investment plans and business cases to secure investment funding and executive support.

  • Apply research-informed and user-centered design and marketing framework to ensure quality, maximize value delivery and drive differentiation.

  • Work with the product managers to oversee formulating product strategy for sustainable differentiation and validating market opportunities for growth identifying and articulating market requirements that define the product’s features set, in line with product strategy.

  • Create business cases for product investments and secure internal and external stakeholder buy-in

  • Recruiting customers to act as “advisor users” to co-create innovative products Educating sales team on messaging that works Roadmap & Release management Writing product requirements documents Performing market research Meeting customers for needs analysis

  • Partner with GTM, pricing, marketing and sales teams to create successful offer launches

  • Analyze Build/Buy/Partner models to launch new service offers and manage vendor and partner relationships

  • Represent NCR at industry events including customer advisory boards, user groups and other forums

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years+ of product/engineering management that is directly related work experience

  • 5 years of technical experience such as developer, architect, sales engineer, etc.

  • Platform product management experience

  • Familiarity with cloud platform such as GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.

  • Lead and managed teams of high performing product managers through the product lifecycle and development processes.

  • Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy that includes a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality.

  • Senior, proactive leader with proven experience in strategic and tactical leadership with the ability to pursue and understand cutting edge technologies.

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products.

  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.

  • Experience with end to end product delivery.

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

  • Effective presentations to customers.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Qualified candidates must have product management experience in driving software products for Hybrid Cloud deployments and delivering Software as a Service.

  • Strong business planning, account management and consultation skills

  • Excellent team player. Willing to take leadership role in driving initiatives, working across organizations and structuring new approaches to new opportunities.

  • Strong financial background and large P&L accountability

  • Experience prioritizing multiple high priority initiatives and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge, experience, and proficiency in product management standards and practices, with appreciation for the end-to-end product management discipline

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

  • Software technical experience (software development, technical sales, etc)

  • Strong interpersonal skills & ability to build strong, trusting relationships

  • Ability to simplify the complex

  • Prioritization across tactical/strategic, customer/market

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to lead by influence across teams & siloes

Education

  • BS in Computer Science, or other related fields or, equivalent applicable working experience required.
