How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
This position has responsibilities for the cross functional management of consignment programs through various stages of their management such as asset/parts valuation, receiving, reconciliation, repair analysis, repair program management, vendor management, warehousing, inventory tracking, and supply of assets to support production or sale. The program manager will work closely with customers consignors, DMS peers, leadership and other stakeholders to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on track. The program manager is also responsible for the management of Asset Monetization projects. This position is based in Atlanta, GA and will report to the DMS VP-Asset Monetization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Owns and expands consignment programs (consignment from Delta Air Lines, consignment from 3rd party, consignment to 3rd parties) and reclamation program from inception to completion including development of project plans for assigned projects.
Manages vendors/consignors setup, approval of purchase/repair orders to meet program performance goals.
Oversees and documents all aspects of the consignment project or program with a well-defined process to plan, monitor, coordinate and ensure execution per project milestones.
Ensures assets identified for repair are sent for repair to meet consignment sales or DL consumption forecast.
Manages repair spend by part number and product line to achieve target profitability.
Implements consignment scorecard system and continuous process improvement.
Interacts with various DMS and Delta stakeholders to successfully manage the consignment inventory programs or projects on time and budget in compliance with quality requirements of Delta & DMS.
Establishes and leads weekly and other periodic program review meetings/calls with internal and external customers and follows up for timely execution of action items and resolution of issues.
Develops metrics, manages process for periodic consignment inventory valuation and coordinates with Consignors for needed inventory impairment or disposition.
Responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of Asset Monetization projects
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or equivalent required.
At least 5 years of related work experience in an aviation or manufacturing environment.
Applicant must have a strong track record in a program/project management role in the aerospace business or in a technical/manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated skills in advanced financial and economic analysis and presentation.
Must be innovative, high-energy, high-character and commitment to excellence for yourself, our customers and our company.
Able to present complex material in a concise but comprehensive manner.
Appropriately handles confidential information, requires minimal supervision and should be able to work under strict deadlines and on multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills required.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Masters or advanced degree preferred.
Experience in consignment program preferred
Advanced computer skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Tableau, SQL, SAS, Minitab, SAP etc.); expertise in statistical analysis is preferred.
