As a Director of Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) & Automation here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and driving the implementation of DevSecOps practices and automation strategies across our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our software development and deployment processes. Your expertise in DevSecOps and automation will enable us to deliver high-quality software solutions to our customers while maintaining a strong focus on security and efficiency.

You will report directly to our software lead at either the Atlanta, Fort Mills, or Pittsburg office. This role will require a combination of on-site and remote work, depending on the needs of the team and the project

In this role, you will significantly impact our software development lifecycle by implementing and optimizing DevSecOps practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement automation strategies, ensuring the seamless integration of security and efficiency into our software development processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead cross-functional DevOps initiatives to optimize software development lifecycle, improve deployment frequency, and reduce time-to-market.

• Manage the operations team for 24/7 support and ensure smooth functioning of software development and deployment processes.

• Develop and implement strategies for cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.

• Manage the collaboration between development and operations teams, enabling DevOps best practices across the organization.

• Ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of our software solutions through continuous monitoring and improvement.

• Drive the adoption of best practices and industry standards in DevSecOps and automation.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development teams in implementing secure and efficient software development practices.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize security requirements and ensure their implementation throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Experience with AI, deploying models, and model lifecycle.

• Scaling large software solutions globally.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on DevSecOps and automation.

• Strong knowledge and experience in implementing DevSecOps practices and automation strategies.

• In-depth understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.

• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and secure coding practices.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
