Please review the following job description:

Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical IT / cyber security capabilities necessary for safeguarding the firm's data residing in information systems and applications, including every phase of the SDLC and software stack. Design, plan, test and implement phases of cybersecurity technology projects. Lead a Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR) development team, driving the development and execution of SOAR strategies and integrating with Cyber and Enterprise partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead the development and execution of SOAR strategies and roadmap items to reduce the overall risk posture of the company with regards to cybersecurity.

  2. Develop cybersecurity engineering strategies (long-term complex plans intended to achieve operational and financial results).

  3. Partner with architecture and strategy teams on the evaluation, testing, selection, and architectural design of new information security and SOAR technologies and the integration of existing technologies into new use cases.

  4. Develop/invent highly innovative solutions within multiple information security technologies, theories and/or techniques that impact CIS strategy.

  5. Develop security designs for systems and networks with multilevel security requirements.

  6. Set the team's direction and communicate individual and team priorities and deliverables for the team against expected results. Make leadership decisions within established policies, procedures, and established objectives.

  7. Lead highly complex and visible projects with notable risk and complexity.

  8. Break down features into User Stories for the team and document and present features, ensuring process flow documentation, stakeholder management, volume analysis, and expected savings.

  9. Establish and maintain the SOAR Development backlog (Gitlab).

  10. Identify automation and improvement opportunities for stakeholders and the broader team.

  11. Work with Scrum Master and Product Owner to break down Epics and Features.

  12. Embed Engineering resources directly with stakeholders to ensure mutual success.

  13. Establish Quality Assurance Testing processes for QA Engineers and foster Test-driven development practices using internal processes and RESTful playbook testing.

  14. Create feedback cycles with product stakeholders to iteratively improve, including PI planning and monthly feature backlog reviews.

  15. Establish KPIs/KRIs, implement monitoring of KPIs/KRIs, establish policies, and document procedures.

  16. Create intake funnels and formally publish Sprint achievements and metrics.

  17. Manage team members, supporting their development and ensuring alignment with overall project goals.

  18. Attend requested meetings and represent SOAR Team interests.

  19. Support SOAR Support Engineering team and stakeholders via multiple channels.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  2. Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security

  3. Previous experience in leading complex IT projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree and eight to ten years of experience in systems engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  2. Strong functional and technical knowledge of information/cyber security capabilities with deep expertise in one or more of the following areas: SOAR, Cyber Security Automation, Data Discovery and Classification, Encryption, Data Security, Application Security, End Point Security, Identity and Access Management, Windows/Unix/Linux Systems Security, Mainframe Security, Perimeter Security, Network Security, Mobility Security, Cloud Security, Cyber Security, Cryptography, or Authentication Systems.

  3. Strong understanding of service lifecycle management, strategic planning, and the cyber security landscape.

  4. Previous supervisory experience.

  5. CISSP Certification.

  6. Master's degree or MBA and ten years of experience in business analysis or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  7. Banking or financial services experience.
