CONTROLLER - Private Equity Backed Company in Atlanta

My client, a private equity backed company in Atlanta, is searching for a Controller to join their team for an immediate, direct-hire opportunity. This role involves overseeing the company's financial records and managing accounting personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily accounting functions, including consolidated financial reporting, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts.

• Manage monthly closes with a focus on shortening the close cycle.

• Prepare and develop balance sheet and P& L account analysis and monthly reconciliations.

• Supervise the Accounts Payable Manager to ensure efficient operation of the Accounts Payable function.

• Implement new accounting processes and review all inventory reports.

• Manage quarterly inventory counts and the annual financial statement audit.

• Update and maintain internal accounting controls.

• Oversee the Payroll Manager and review all payroll batches prepared.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and development of KPIs.

• Utilize NetSuite and other accounting software to manage and analyze financial data.

• Apply expertise in accounting functions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, auditing, and intercompany accounting.

  Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field of study

• Masters degree preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required

• Proficiency in full cycle and intercompany accounting

• Knowledge and experience in Auditing

• Understanding of Budget Processes

• Proficiency in managing Payroll

• Proficiency in using NetSuite software
