Robert Half Bookkeeper in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the Drink & Beverages industry, based in Atlanta, Georgia. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in managing our company's financial records, including processing vendor and expense invoices, generating financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. This position is primarily office-based.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounting duties, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial records.

• Enter vendor and expense invoices into the system, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

• Prepare bank deposits and statements, monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for both internal and external purposes.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial transactions and reports.

• Process invoices, record payments, and track expenses of the organization in a timely and accurate manner.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to prepare for annual audits.

• Assist in setting accounting protocols and implementing financial policies in the company.

• Work with other departments to gather information and clarify invoice discrepancies.

• Use QuickBooks proficiently for financial entries and adjustments, maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers. Requirements • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles

• Proven experience with account reconciliation

• Proficiency in handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently

• Comprehensive knowledge of bookkeeping practices

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month end close processes

• Familiarity with payroll systems and procedures

• Experience with QuickBooks accounting software

• Ability to work in the Drink & Beverages industry

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Capability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

• Certified Bookkeeper designation (preferred)
