As part of the Capital Markets division within Truist Securities, Inc., the Asset Securitization Group (ASG) provides structured debt capital solutions to clients of Truist Bank across a range of consumer, commercial and esoteric asset classes. Within its commercial asset class practice, ASG agents and syndicates credit facilities, in securitization format, backed by pools of middle market corporate loans originated by private credit funds and asset managers. The MD will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities, maintaining existing relationships – with clients and syndication partners – as well as managing the existing ASG Originations team focused on this client base. collaborates with internal partners including Banking, Risk, Operations, and Legal to achieve seamless execution, appropriate risk mitigation and strong client experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Drive revenue through targeted clients/prospects in coordination with banking.

  2. Lead deal teams, including origination, structuring and syndication.

  3. Demonstrate subject matter expertise; translate knowledge into strategic dialogue and value added ideas which result in lead roles

  4. Collaborate with internal partners, including risk, to achieve optimal client outcomes.

  5. Mentor and develop junior teammates.

  6. Communicate complex or difficult ideas clearly, concisely and persuasively. 7. Demonstrate the Truist values

  7. Adheres to risk/compliance policies and guidelines

Required Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. Licenses: Series 7, 79, and 63

  3. 15+ years of related work experience

  4. Extensive subject matter expertise including advanced understanding of industry drivers, product positioning, structuring and risk mitigation strategies.

  5. Proven ability to develop, nurture and monetize “trusted advisor” client relationships

  6. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across functional areas to resolve complex issues.

  7. Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork, trust, creativity/innovation and accountability

  8. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and insightfully.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. MBA degree, with a Finance focus

  2. 7-10 years of experience working with originators of middle market loans

The annual base salary for this position is $300,000 plus bonus.
