Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves working within the telecommunications industry, where you will be responsible for managing and processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and handling customer credit inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain up-to-date and precise customer credit records

• Handle customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly and take appropriate action to collect overdue payments

• Conduct system conversions and reconciliations as part of the role

• Participate in mergers and acquisitions projects

• Cover for medical and maternity leaves within the team

• Assist in annual audits

• Provide support during staff reductions and peak workload demands

• Utilize accounting software systems, Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel

• Perform full cycle AP, 3 way matching, batching invoices, and coding invoices

• Manage high volume processing of Payables

• Reconcile payables to the sub ledger and prepare journal entries

• Handle various aspects of the AP process and duties including expense reporting and vendor set up. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software is required

• Experience with IBM AS/400 software is a plus

• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software is beneficial

• Mastery of Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Understanding of Accounting Functions is crucial

• Prior experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is desirable

• Experience in Check Processing is preferred

• Proficiency in Data Entry is needed

• Ability to resolve Discrepancies is a must
