ZOLL Itamar's corporate headquarters, research and development and manufacturing are located in Israel with U.S. headquarters based in Atlanta, GA.Job TypeHybrid - (3) days in the office (2) days remote.Job SummaryThe Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all daily operations of the Accounting Department and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Manager supervises two individuals and is responsible for managing the team to ensure the work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, Payroll, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.

The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.Essential Functions

  • Responsible for all aspects of the accounting function including Bank, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, invoices, payments, reconciliations, general ledger, provisioning and all accounting functions

  • Payroll Processing including sales commissions to Sales teams, allowances such as phone and car, fringe benefits, etc.

  • Revenue Recognition

  • Managing collections which includes manage and charging credit cards and checks from customers

  • Cash

  • Ensure all accounts receivable and accounts payable files are accurate, up-to- date and payments are received and made within established guidelines.

  • Responsible for all AP (requisitions, PO’s, etc.)

  • Manage daily banking requirements.

  • Tax calculations, payments, exempt certifications

  • Travel and Expense review and analysis

  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close

  • Journal entries as needed, posting to general ledger and analyzing accounts

  • Balance sheet and bank account reconciliation

  • Preparing various financial reports

  • Ensure all financial data is accurate, timely and complete for management review

  • Provide assistance with quarterly external and annual audits. Respond to requests by Company’s Controller (providing information to our independent auditors).

  • Supports budgeting and forecasting activities; prepares and analyzes business trends; reports as requested

  • Preparing information for insurance companies, and providing information to collection agencies.

  • Manage interactions with tax authorities (opening and closing new state accounts

  • sales tax and withholding tax)

  • Manage the team; monitor and analyze work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources

  • Provide training to new and existing department members as needed

  • Work with direct reports to establish goals and objectives for each year; monitor and advise on the progress to enhance professional development of team

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the Department

  • Responsibility for SOX controls

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance

  • 3 – 5 Years of proven work experience as Accounting Manager or Finance Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

  • Five to seven years prior supervisory experience with ability to direct, supervise and grow team

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Must be able to communicate effectively & maintain professional conduct at all times; excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Organized, self-starter with the ability to handle numerous projects, work under pressure and deadlines, and prioritize workload with minimal supervision

  • Professional and pleasant telephone etiquette

  • High attention to detail

  • Advanced computer skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce. Experience with MFG is a plus.
