Summer 2025

The Truist Fiduciary, Investments, and Planning (FIP) Summer Internship Program provides college students with an 8-12 week working and immersion experience to sharpen their skills. During the summer, interns will spend time in various areas of the Fiduciary, Investments, and Planning teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Interns will play meaningful roles in supporting internal business partners and external clients. Throughout the program, interns will expand their leadership and collaborative team skills, banking and investment acumen, and technical knowledge. Our internship offers exposure to senior leaders within the Wealth and Fiduciary Division and a support network of mentors and peers.

Internship Program Structure

Interns will partake in an internship with one of the following teams:

  • Fiduciary

  • Investments

  • Financial Planning

  • Regional Trust Advisors

  • Trust Administration Advisors

  • Estates

  • Wealth Tax

  • Fiduciary Business Planning

  • Privately Held Investments

Interns will also have networking opportunities with former FIP interns, Wealth Leadership, Truist teammates as well as a volunteer event.

Work Location

All interns will be located in Charlotte or Atlanta, with the possibility of supporting leadership in other cities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program as a Rising Senior, Fall 2025-Spring 2026 graduation date (Business, Finance, or Trust/Wealth Management preferred) or completing a Master’s degree program at an accredited college or university with the following credentials:

  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Superior, written and oral communication abilities

  • Independent goal-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset

  • Ability to self-manage and adapt to fast-paced environment

  • Collaborate well with teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Preferred interest in pursuing financial services as a career

  2. Previous financial services work experience or internship

  3. Demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  4. Demonstrated leadership aptitude
